Mentor, mentor on the wall….

Searching for good advice on business matters can be difficult because where do you start?

A Business Mentor will start the conversation by listening to you describe your business and any challenges you may face or dreams you have for the business. This is where a good mentoring relationship starts. It would result in an action plan with clear steps for resolving your challenges or realising your dreams.

Much like the Evil Queen who might come across as strong and unbeatable, being a business owner means tackling many facets of running a business and producing an output. This is a lot to ask of one person and it is no wonder most feel overwhelmed at some point. However, it is commonly thought of as a weakness and ‘must mean I am not meant to run a business’.  Nothing could be further from the truth – what is required is human support.

We all have strengths and weaknesses;

What sets a strong leader apart from a weak one is identifying the weaknesses. Get support to ensure this does not impact the business. A client of mine enquired about mentor support when she felt unable to progress her business and increase profit. By reviewing the various areas of the business, we built in an improved structure. Set objectives for staff, and lowered the costs of running the business. She now feels more in control, the business is progressing, and she knows she has a mentor who she can rely on for support and advise. Two heads are better than one as they say.

I am proud to be supporting businesses across Berkshire and always ready to provide a complimentary mentoring session to explore challenges and dreams within any business segment. A different perspective is always valuable especially when provided by a Business Mentor with your best interests at the forefront of every action.
