ABOUT NIGEL BROWNE – BRISTOL CONSULTANT
Hi, I’m Nigel Browne.
When you’re running a business, it can be tough finding time to focus on the big picture. The day-to-day demands of the job can make it almost impossible to keep up with this ever-changing business environment. Let alone stay ahead of the competition.
Many companies don’t look at what they need to do to make their business succeed. And with Covid-19 adding to a difficult 2020 in the South West, it’s hardly surprising.
But despite the changing landscape and the recent pandemic, the basics of running a business remain the same – maximising profits.
This is where a business mentor fits in. An increasing number of business owners are choosing to invest in a mentor to grow their companies and increase sales – from large corporations to one-man bands.
And the sector best placed to gain the most from mentoring is SME businesses. The right mentor brings the skills, expertise and know-how to take you to the next level.
It’s my job to get to know you and your business, understand where you are now, and where you want to be. What is your dream for your business? What’s the vision? What are your goals? Frustrations? Worries?
My job is to understand all of these and help you get to where you want to be.
Here’s why I’m the man to do this.
I love living here, which is why I set up the local franchise for UK Business Mentoring. After travelling extensively across Europe for work, I seized this opportunity to spend more time in the region, share my expertise with other local business owners, and make a difference in the region.
I’ve lived in the South West for 25 years. Raising my family here and running my own local business. I also serve on the Executive Committee of the Weston-super-Mare Chamber of Commerce. So I’m well positioned to understand the area’s unique business landscape.
Commercially, the area is diverse in both size and type of business. The city of Bristol attracts large corporations and Bath supports an eclectic mix of independent traders. In rural Somerset there’s a high proportion of sole traders offering a mix of service and manufacturing businesses. And our beautiful coastal regions have a large tourism and hospitality sector.
This is what makes my job so rewarding. I love the challenges this commercial diversity brings. And every day I get to apply what I’ve learnt over 35 years to a wide variety of unique businesses.
And there is a strong spirit of cooperation in this region that I can help you tap into. My contacts will widen your business network so you can benefit from their support too.
I’m often referred to as your “unreasonable friend”. Which is pretty accurate! Your ‘friend’, in that I have your best interests at heart and I am there to help you. But ‘unreasonable’ because I’ll ask you awkward questions and challenge your thinking.
With such a wide commercial experience, and having run my own business, I’m well placed to guide you on your journey to achieving your vision. I may be your unreasonable friend, but I’ll help you get to where you want to be.
I’d love to have an initial chat, learn more about you and your business, and see how we could work together.
So give me a call and let’s get started.
Consultancy is a much over utilised term which to be fair should not be the preserve of just the very few. Every day in business is different and the breadth of the daily challenge far from becoming less is now so much more. To keep you on the straight and narrow a critical experienced Business Mentor could be just the ticket – all deserve First Class specialist guidance and encouragement so why not engage Nigel Browne to assist you in reaching your personally held commercial goals.
